Yes, all international tourists, except for nationals of India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives, are required to obtain a visa before traveling to Bhutan.
Visas are issued through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator or their international partners. You need to book a tour package with a licensed tour operator, who will then handle the visa application on your behalf or just follow the link here to apply for your visa which takes three to four business days.
The best time to visit Bhutan is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. These periods offer pleasant weather and clear skies, ideal for sightseeing and trekking.

The official currency of Bhutan is the Ngultrum (BTN). While major foreign currencies can be exchanged at banks and hotels and even some shopkeepers accept foreign currency, however it is advisable to carry local currency for small purchases.
